Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champion as well as the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina Shevchenko was given the UFC contract following this win. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first fight. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 during her subsequent three matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee.
